At the WealthBriefing Swiss Awards ceremony held on Thursday 6 February in Geneva, hosting more than 200 players of the Geneva financial centre, Marie Owens Thomsen, Global Chief-Economist of Indosuez Wealth Management in Switzerland, was honoured to be awarded in the "Outstanding Contribution to Wealth Management Thought Leadership" category.
These awards were created to single out the top players in private banking, wealth management and advisory services. They recognise companies, teams and individuals who have demonstrated innovation and excellence, according to the WealthBriefing Swiss Awards’ prestigious jury.
"I am really honoured and grateful to receive this award. This award recognises the approach, style, and research strategy that we are pursuing within Indosuez. For our clients, we strive to verify every piece of data in an effort to push back against superficial analysis and combat prejudices. We encourage open discussions where intellectual curiosity can flourish," said Marie Owens Thomsen.
In her research, Marie strives to sort "the wheat from the chaff" in a world sometimes prone to infobesity. Through rigorous data analysis, she identifies global macroeconomic trends that translate into policy recommendations and investment opportunities for the Products and Services teams.
"In this day and age of instantaneous information, Marie believes that financial language needs to be simplified and her work empowers all investors to make the best investment choices. This is particularly what distinguishes her research work, which makes complex subjects accessible to all generations," said Jean-Francois Deroche, CEO of Indosuez Wealth Management in Switzerland.
Today, Marie's original approach is also acclaimed by renowned external organisations. Her public engagement mission makes her a regular contributor to the Swiss and international media and, above all, a first-rate ambassador during the conferences organised for our clients around the world.
